Mae Golden
Associate
With over 20 years of experience creating training tools for staff, her passion for this led her to earn an M.A. in Instructional Design. She applies various components of this degree to fine-tune her projects.
Mae understands the importance of bringing clarity to the knowledge transfer processes for organizations. As a supervisor in the Student Account office at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), she learned how to create and perform training for new and seasoned staff with current, new, or updated procedures. She managed and implemented departmental training for Student Accounts to the Cashnet system for student refunds, in conjunction with PeopleSoft.
She documented several back-office procedures, which became instrumental teaching tools used for this department; conducted and reported on campus focus groups for the University’s Shared Services Initiative; created and facilitated training for the departments designated for the Initiative; and lastly, served as a contributor to the newly formed intranet or TAPS (Toolkit for Administrative Professionals) for the Initiative.
Equipping business owners/founders to experience the freedom of working “on” their businesses instead of “in” them, while providing their staff with detailed and easy-to-follow instructions, has been the hallmark of her career.
Partner Testimonial
“The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation was fortunate to secure I AM Konsulting as a consultant for a workforce initiative related to the engagement of young adults in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Alicia provided project management, subject matter expertise, and content development. I can unequivocally state that this project would not have been completed as efficiently or with as high a quality of final products if we had not had I AM Konsulting’s steady hand and great mind at the helm. Alicia provided a project scope, key deliverables, and a realistic timeline (with milestones). She also synthesized prior research results, developed surveys and focus group protocols, and identified additional resources to help us develop solid content and effective resources for young adults, community partners, and the hospitality field. Most importantly, she was a pleasure to work with always providing timely materials with additional helpful suggestions and flexible options. I AM Konsulting kept our staff, program partners, and design team on task and in sync…bringing the massive project home on time and with some of the best materials we have ever produced.”
